Unfortunately knowing that you'd rather stand there and watch the skunk rip apart your garbage. Then chance that if you move the skunk might just fire that stink bomb he's carrying. That if the skunk does spray he can hit a target 21' directly.

The residual Skunk Spray can linger for blocks getting worse as you get to ground zero. Skunks know you don't want to be ground zero for skunk stink, it doesn't make for happy neighbours. So don't wait for the skunks to wander away isn't going to happen!!!
Skunks in Ontario don't hibernate like Skunks in the North. Skunks will sleep for a week at a time but on sunny days in winter skunks will wake up and come out for a stretch and something to eat. They have lots of stink bombs store up in them and they aren't scared to use them!!!
